 The picks and standings for this week's tournament are on the
site. We chose 27 golfers. Adam Scott is the favorite, one
short of unanimous. Rory is the 2nd most popular golfer, chosen
11 times. The Man in Orange shows up on 9 teams. Eight of us
think young Jordan can keep it going. Loopy Jim got the nod 7
times. Rose, Garcia, Bradley and Kuchar were picked 6 times
each. Five players think Tiger is back. Henrik, Bubba and
Gray-me are treys. The deuces include Day, Dufner, Poulter and
Kaymer.Ten unique picks. Chris, Dave A. and Mike D. have 2 each. Dan, Jordie, Brett and Hugh have one each. The remaining eight of us found nothing unique at this W.G.C. free money giveaway This is a fairly predictable set of picks. I looked down the leaderboard and saw very few golfers that I would have expected someone to pick that didn't get chosen (Phil, Westwood and Tim Clark jump out immediately). The teams are pretty tight, some of us are separated by only one golfer. But there are some pretty strong uniques (Moore, Reed and Schwartzel are jumping out this time). It should all make for some very fine golf pooling. Firestone is almost a pitch and putt for the modern game, but if they spray it there are still plenty of trees to cause problems. Despite being in the Cleveland/Akron area, the armpit of the world, I think it's still gonna be a damn good one... Let's get it on! Later,
