|Dave B. Wins The San Diego Open!|
|Picking up right where he left off...|
Note: I'm writing this in between massive doses of cold
pills and NyQuil, so if the end seems incomplete, it means I
managed to fall on the send button while in the process of
passing out. I will then finish the email when I get over this
latest case of Ebola.
Dave B. was the only player with 3 top 10 finishers and won this week by about $135k over Mike D. It was Dave's 2nd win in a row, since he won the last event of 2014, and his record 27th career victory. Mike D. ended up about $24k ahead of Steve, due mostly to having one more golfer making the cut. Bill finished on the bubble this week, thanks primarily to Rickie Fowler deciding to play left tackle on Sunday and putting a 79 on his orange jersey.
Being the first tournament of the year, the Season standings are just like the paragraph above.
We will be playing the Spring with 13 players. Unless someone else joins.
The next event, in about 9˝ days, is the Northern Trust Los Angeles Open at the fabled Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, California. We haven't played this tournament since 2009, which is unfortunate because since then there have been some pretty good finishes at Riviera. And Riviera is a great old classic course. I'm looking forward to this one, even if Tiger isn't playing.
Get those picks in on time.
