Bill Wins The U.S. Open!

Nobody picked the right nobody...

The Rule 20-6 Golf Pool U.S. Open trophyBill was the champion of this year's second major, riding on the strength of 4 top 10 finishers including t2 Graeme McDowell and unique pick t4 Padraig Harrington.  Bill finished $163,754 ahead of Brett.  Brett was the only other player to pick McDowell and he had only one golfer miss the cut (best of the week), but Bill's unique was too much for the Rule 20-6 rookie to overcome.  Hugh finished a distant 3rd and Mike M. and Chris tied for the bubble spot.

The U.S.G.A. money distribution method, which varies from year-to-year, only effected the standings near the bottom (I got screwed out of one spot), but the dollar amounts were pretty different.  Some of us went up and some went down from my unofficial results.  I'd love to know the name of the monkey that figures that up every year.

Mike M. and Chris stayed 1-2 in the Season Standings.  Bill moved up to 3rd and Brett is now 4th.  Long way to go in that race.

The T.M.C. standings are just like the U.S. Open standings, since this was the first one of those events this summer.

Bill jumped over Randy to take the lead in the Year-Long battle.  Brett made a nice leap from 9th to 3rd.  Mike M. remained one spot out of the last money position.

The next event in about 10 days is the AT&T National, back at Congressional C.C. this year.  I liked that course they played the last couple years around Philly.  I wished they'd have stayed there.  Does Tiger have anything to do with this tournament anymore.  Does anyone care if Tiger has anything to do with this tournament anymore.  Not me, I don't follow hacks.

Get those picks in on time.

Later,
