Dave Wins The WGC-Bridgestone Invitational!

Once again, when you get your picks in it's much easier to win...

The Rule 20-6 Golf Pool Tournament #15 trophy. It took 4 top 10 picks, including winner Hideki Matsuyama, to cash this week.  Dave had 4, including 2nd place Zach Johnson as a unique, and that was enough for him to pull off his Pool record 31st career win.  It was also his first win since the 2015 PGA Championship and 3rd cash of the year.  Dave also was the first player to have a team win over $3 million this year.  His $3.384 million total was $404,438 ahead of 2nd place Brian T.  Brian had 3rd place Charley Hoffman as a unique among his 4 top 10's.  It was his 4th 2nd place finish of the year and 5th cash.  Andrew ended up 3rd, $253,563 behind Brian, picking up his 5th cash of the year.  Brian G. and I tied for 4th.

In the Summer Season standings, Brian G. moved up 2 places to take over the lead.  I also moved up 2 spots to 2nd and trail Brian by $424,516.  Mike D. slipped from the top spot to 3rd, $121,368 behind me and $80,864 ahead of 4th place Brian T.

Brian T. and Mike M. stayed 1-2 in the Year-Long race, though Brian increased his lead to a bit under $2.3 million.  Brian G. moved up from 4th to 3rd place and trails Mike by $287,522.  I also came up one spot to 4th and am $84,312 out of the last payout position.

Do not take a break.  We are going at it again this week and it's the final major of the year, Glory's Last Shot, The PGA Championship.  They are holding it this year at The Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, NC.  This is the course that usually hosts The Wells Fargo Championship, so the golfers will be pretty familiar with it.  I haven't heard if they're toughening it up for the PGA, but then I haven't read much of anything about this year's 4th major.  I better get on it and y'all better too.

Get those picks in on time.

Later,
