Joe Wins The Greenbrier!

The uniques roll and the favorites flame...

The Rule 20-6 Golf Pool Tournament #13 trophy.Joe had tournament winner Kevin Na as a unique pick, plus 10th place Russell Henley, and won with ease this week; by about $750k over Dan.  It was Joe's 2nd win of the year, also 2nd win in 3 weeks, and his 3rd cash of the year.  Dan also had a high finishing unique, 2nd place Kelly Kraft, and 1 more cut maker than Joe, but no other top top 10's made it impossible to overtake Joe.  Mike D. grabbed 3rd, just under $228 behind Dan, and had the most top 20's of anyone, 4, but none better than T5 Joaquin Niemann.  Jordie ended up 4th, around $12k behind Mike, and had T3 Brandt Snedeker as a unique but suffered from too many Friday trunk-slammers.

In the Summer Season standings the top 4 bounced around again this week.  Andrew moved up one spot to take the lead.  Joe came up from 4th to 2nd.  Hugh dropped 2 spots to 3rd.  Jordie fell one place to 4th.  These 4 have at least a $1 million lead over the rest of us.

The top 4 in the Year-Long stayed the same; Mike M., Andrew, me and Steve, in that order.

We take a week off then head across the Atlantic for the 3rd major of the year, The Open Championship or as us Americans call it, The British Open.  This year it will be in Scotland at Carnoustie G.C., site of the famous Vandevelde finish.  We are due for another one of those Vandevelde finishes, I'm hoping it's Tiger who does it this time.  Remember this one starts real early in the morning American time, so the picks are actually due pretty much Wednesday night.

Get those picks in on time.

Later,
