John Wins The Greenbrier!

Wow, a unique pick made the difference... Huh...

The Rule 20-6 Tournament #14 TrophyI was surprised when my pick of Andres Romero was a unique.  He played well the week before in Canada and it seems like someone always has him on their team.  Apparently no one paid attention to the Canadian Open.  And apparently no one told Romero my unique picks usually miss the cut because his t4 finish, along with deuce pick t4 Brendon de Jonge and playoff loser Bill Haas, led me to victory this week by $272,020 over Chris.  Brian ended up third, $61,950 behind Chris.  Bill ended up on the bubble, missing the money by almost $80,000.

I took over the Season race lead.  Dave A. dropped one spot to 2nd and trails me by just over $571k.  Steve and Hugh stayed in 3rd and 4th, respectively.  Steve trails Dave by just under $178k and Hugh is out of the last money spot by just under $576k.

The top 8 spots in the Year-Long standings did not change.  The top 4, in order, remain me, Steve, Bill and Dave A.

The next event in about 10 days is the final major of the year, The PGA Championship.  This year's tournament is at the Atlanta Athletic Club.  And if he doesn't play poorly in Akron and "re-injure" his knee, you-know-who will be there.  Then the golf pooling will get tough.  But the hookers in Atlanta will be happy.

Get those picks in on time.

Later,
