The Texas Open Picks Are Up!

Just a couple more golfers picked than last time...

Let's Get It On!The organized picks for this week's tournament are up on the site.  We chose 36 golfers.  Matt Kuchar was the clear favorite, picked by all but 2 players.  Things are not so clear after that.  K.J. Choi was the #2 most popular pick, showing up 8 times. Freddy Jacobson got the nod 7 times.  Charles Hoffman, John Holmes and Kevin Na are on 6 teams each.  Ryan Moore and Johnson Wagner were chosen 5 times each.  Colt Knost, Harris English and Ryan Palmer are all 4-baggers.  Boo Weekley, Kevin Stadler and Bud Cauley are the treys.  The deuces are numerous: Vaughn Taylor, Ricky Barnes, Cameron Tingale, Chucky Wi, Lancaster Ohio boy Joe Ogilvie and John "What?" Huh.

Sixteen unique picks for this here Texas Open.  Dan and Dave A. are the leaders with 3 each.  Both Mikes have 2 each.  Chris, Randy, Brett, Bill, Steve and Jordie have one each.  The other five players managed to go uniqueless this week.

I still don't know what to say about this tournament.  It's in Texas, so I'm glad I'm not there.  I know it used to be played in the fall, after the PGA but before the Tour Championship, pre-FedEx Cup days, and we did play it in this pool in 2004 and 2005.  I don't even begin to remember those events.  Jordie won one and Randy won the other, but I had to look that up.  Randy finished in the money in both of them, so I guess that makes him the favorite this week.  It was played on a totally different golf course back then, so maybe not.  I do remember watching Kevin Na make a 16 on a hole in this tournament last year, which is exactly why I picked him.  Can't happen twice, can it?  I'm digging here... to hell with it.  We may only know 1/4 of the golfers, but it's The Rule 20-6 Golf Pool and there's money on the line... it's just gotta be a good one.  Just gotta.

Let's get it on!

Later,
