Hugh Wins The Quicken Loans National!

The unique picks couldn't play the back nine...

The Rule 20-6 Golf Pool Tournament #12 trophyThe winning combination of golfers this week was tournament winner Justin Rose, t5 Brendon Todd, t11 Spieth and t21Snedeker.  All 3 cashers had those four golfers.  Hugh's only other golfer to make the cut, t30 Bill Haas, shot a final round "Red Grange" but still won enough money for Hugh to win this week by $26,458 over Steve.  It was Hugh's 3rd victory of the year.  Steve's fifth and final cut-maker was t60 K.J. Choi.  Randy did not have a fifth golfer in the money but still managed to grab 3rd place, $13,520 behind Steve.  Dave B. finished on the money bubble, about $75k behind Randy.

I stayed in first in the Season race.  Dan moved up one spot to 2nd.  Steve came up from 5th to 3rd.  Bill is now 4th, up from 8th.  We are only 1/3 of the way through this pool, so still a long way to go.

Steve jumped over me to take back the Year-Long lead.  Hugh and Shelly stayed in 3rd and 4th, respectively.

We get an extra week off before we take on the 3rd major of the year, The British Open, or as the non-American world calls it, The Open Championship.  This year they are playing at Royal Liverpool, or as it is often called, Hoylake.  Too many names for one place and thing.  The deadline is in a little less than 17 days.  And, as it is every year, the first tee time is usually around 1:00 AM Eastern time.  Plan accordingly.

Get those picks in on time.

Later,
