Tom Wins The Valspar Championship!

Good play beats out more cut makers mailing it in...

The Rule 20-6 Golf Pool Tournament #4 trophy.Tom only had 4 golfers make the cut but all of them finished T5 or better, including winner Paul Casey, and he made his first Rule 20-6 cash a win.  He ended up $105,300 ahead of Mike M.  Mike had 5 cut makers and 3 top 5's the same as Tom, but his T8 Branden Grace and T40 Chucky Howell couldn't overtake Tom's 4th place Sergio pick.  Andrew finished 3rd, $64,404 out of 2nd, with 3 top 4's and a T16 Louie O.  Bill and I missed out on a cash by around $270k, primarily because we didn't pick what's-his-name.

There was a little bit of movement in the Summer Season standings.  Mike M. came up 2 spots to take the lead.  Andrew also moved up 2 places and is in 2nd, less than $87k behind Mike.  Mike D. fell 2 spots to 3rd and trails Andrew by less than $89k.  I jumped up 3 spots to the money bubble, almost $600k behind Mike M.

Don't forget about the March Madness pool.  See the last email for details, or contact me if you deleted it and forget what I'm talking about.

No time to rest.  We head east this week to Orlando to the Bay Hill Club and Lodge for the Arnold Palmer Invitational.  It starts in about 3 days.  This tournament hasn't been the same since the King died, but what's-his-name is playing, so I'm sure the media will give it full coverage.  Or certainly give what's-his-name their full attention.  At some point this week I will wonder if any one else is playing.  Oh well, maybe they'll let us know what combination of PED's worked for him last week, or what Waffle House in Orlando has the hottest waitresses.  I want complete coverage...

Get those picks, and brackets, in on time.

Later,
