|Bill Wins The WGC-Bridgestone Invitational!|
|A solid performance by J.T. and Bill...|
Bill had 6 of his picks T10 or better and
all 7 in the top 20 and won this week by $142,750 over Dan. It
was Bill's 2nd cash of the year and first win since the 2017
Colonial. Dan had 4 top 10's and 6 top 20's, which is pretty
good picking but not solid enough to catch Bill. Mike A.
grabbed 3rd, $51,500 behind Dan, with 4 top 10's and 5 top
20's. Dave found the bubble, $274,750 short of the last money
Andrew remained in 1st in the Summer Season pool. Hugh came up 2 spots to 2nd and trails Andrew by $948,520. I fell one spot to 3rd, $163,283 behind Hugh. Bill put himself in contention, moving from 9th to 4th, $296,924 behind me.
The Year-Long race continues to stay tight with more people moving into the hunt. I took over the lead. Andrew trails in 2nd by about $224k. Mike M. stayed in 3rd, just under $86k behind Andrew. Brian G. came up one spot to 4th, around $559k out of the last pay position. Seven players are within $1.7 million of the lead with 3 tournaments to go.
No time to rest. We get right back at it this week in St. Louis at The Bellerive C.C. for the final major of the year, The PGA Championship. This is the last year the PGA will be the year's final major, it's moving to May next year. Glory's Last Shot one last time. Next year it will be Glory's 2nd Shot. Plenty of golfers playing well to pick from... I don't remember much about this course other than it's long. I'm not sure that means anything anymore, but that is all I remember. The entry system should be working as normal, had some problems with the email system last week the night before the deadline, but getting entries in early makes it easier to avoid scary issues like that. It's Glory's Final Last Shot so it's got to be a good one.
Get those picks in on time.
